Let's be honest: who wants to rack up a $200 monthly coffee bill with costs like that? Happy Turtle Coffee is inexpensive and makes an excellent coffee base for any, and we mean any, coffee beverage. Here’s a simple recipe to make your own Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso.
INGREDIENTS

- 4 pumps of brown sugar simple syrup (Buy on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Torani-Brown-Sugar-Cinnamon )
- 4 tbsp of Happy Turtle Coffee (We suggest using Dad’s 39, but any Happy Turtle Coffee roast will do. *Don't have an espresso machine? No problem! This coffee beverage can be made with a high-quality coffee, such as our Happy Turtle Coffee dark roast "Dad's 39," and simply double brewed.
- ¼ Cup of oat milk (we suggest Oatly which can be purchased at any local grocery store) You can find out more about oat milk and the advantages of using it as a dairy substitute by visiting the Oatly website.
- ½ Cup of ice
- 1 Cup of water
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place 4 tbsp of Happy Turtle coffee in the espresso machine or classic coffee brewer. The instructions you receive will vary based on the device you are working with. If you're using a traditional coffee brewer, brew it twice, using 4 oz for the first brew and 4 oz for the second brew, for a total of 8 oz.
- Shake together the ice, brown sugar syrup, and espresso in a shaker until well combined.
- Pour into an 8oz glass
- Top off with Oat Milk
